A few days ago I went surfing by Sebastian Inlet on the other side of Florida. Nevin and I went to the other side of the state to stay at a beach house our friend's parents were renting, and the surf was up! I had to get over a serious fear of sharks. There's sharks that are like 10 or 30 ft long somtimes- SHIT. but anyways, after the first wave I totally forgot about sharks and surfed for hours, even managing to stand up once.
I went inside and proceeded to watch SHARK WEEK, then went for some more. It's that fun.
We're having a fancy dance party at our house on 8/22 (saturday) DRESS UP.
Nevin is playing drums with Robbie playing guitar and it sounds really good. It makes me want to learn everything, or be really good at something. I've been thinking about buying an acoustic guitar. As soon as I have a little extra money I think that's what I'll do. |

This is so good-
tofurky bratwurst cut into pieces
onions
mushrooms
tons of sauerkraut - gobs and gobs
a little braggs
salt, pepper,
agave
tons of nutritional yeast
*~*~*~*~saute onions, mushrooms, and bratwurst, then add the braggs, sauerkraut, and everything else and cook for another couple minutes.~*~*~*~*
I have Felix to thank for the idea. It is insanely good if you like kraut!
My mom sent me a juicer ashe found at a garage sale for me and I've been making tons of silly juices. I really like cucumber with kale, celery, and an apple.
I'm going to Portland in a few days! I have a food bonanza stash to go berzerk with and I can't wait. And then I'm off to KC to spend some time at home.
Try the krautwurst scrambley and give me juice ideas!

I'm finishing a huge salad I made with 1 full head romaine, 1 tomato, 1 carrot, 1 red pepper, and a combination of balsamic, ginger dressing, cayenne, lemon, sea salt, pepper, sesame seeds, and nutritional yeast. I'm feelin pretty good about it! Salad never really tickled my fancy until the past few days. I've been feeling pretty dumpy in the energy department and I'm trying to eat way more raw foodsies to help. Also I'm going to start running, which definitely does not tickle my fancy either, but also will help in the energy department.
Summer is in full force, at least what I know of it. It will get hotter and more humid, but 90's and sun every day is pretty much full-fledged summer. I'm looking forward to some wild thunderstorms.
Garden is doing really well- some tomatoes we started from seed are about a foot tall. The compost has a much of maggots. I think that's ok. Does anyone know how to handle LEAFMINERS?
These little green boogers bore into the leaves and eat it from the inside out. I read that neem will make the plant taste bad and keep them away, but any foliar applications miss the dot since the bootyacks are going apeshit inside the leaf. |
